Andrew Crowley

Andrew Crowley studied with Ray Allen and Sidney Ellison at the Royal Academy of Music from 1980-83. He gave his first London recital at the Purcell Room in 1986, and soon after joined London Brass (formerly Philip Jones) and the London Sinfonietta. Andrew has performed often as a soloist throughout the world with London Brass and the English Chamber Orchestra, with whom he is the principal trumpet.

He is now in demand in recording studios, playing on film soundtracks such as the Mask of Zorro, Chicken Run and a new Robert Redford film entitled Legend of Bagger Vance, where Andrew's solo playing is acknowledged in the title credits.

He has also played for many pop artists, including Tom Jones, Quincy Jones, Paul McCartney, Sting, and recently as a featured soloist on the Cliff Richard number one Millennium Prayer.

He has been a professor at the RCM for the past three years.
