About us

The Whitehall Orchestra is the orchestra of the Civil Service in London, open to all. We perform four concerts a year in central London venues like St John’s Smith Square, St Gabriel’s Pimlico and St Sepulchre’s, Holborn. This picture was taken during rehearsals for our performance of Mahler’s 2nd Symphony in April 2015 with the Mahler Chorus and soloists Anna Harvey and Rebecca Goulden.

For more details about our history see Our Story. Michael Nebe is our musical director and Christian Halstead our leader. Look here for some of the soloists that we have played with. See the Join us page for information about playing with us and the Support us page for doing just that.
